Le Snowpants

Apparently in some parts snowpants are known as snow-bibs.  This is apparently because some have the top part that zips up like a vest under your coat?  We always just called them all snowpants... anyway, this year I had one heck of a time finding any kids snowpants anywhere!  I waited until Christmas time and then it was too late.  Everyone seemed to be sold out or only stocking $100+ designer snow wear ...crazy!   Finally I managed to track down some camping outlet online that still had some in stock...and they were a good price too.  They turned out to be really nice, and Bobo loves finally being able to run around in all the snow we're getting.

Snowy Bobo

They say this year will be a record-breaker for snow in New England.  Personally I'm pretty much done with it, but Bobo absolutely loves it.  He is such a snow baby!  Lucky for him we're supposed to get another foot tomorrow (after 6 inches today!).  That groundhog better give us some good news tomorrow!

Early Spring Hike

Here are some from a few months ago... look at that snow on the ground!  Taking the first thaw opportunity to hike around through the path in the woods and 'sunbathe' in the yard.

More Snow!?

Yes, it snowed again today... so if I have to look at it so do you!  Actually this is another one from yesterday, I took about fifty thousand... snowsuit pictures to follow.  On an unrelated note... doesn't Arin look like the kid from Jerry McGuire when he wears my glasses??

Oh Snow!

Said to the tune of... 'oh no'.  Yes, another day, another snow storm.  I suppose it's not been a bad winter snow-wise, and at least this storm was very wet and stuck to the trees very prettily.

Snowy

January means cold, cold, cold and lots of snow!

December Storm

We had a large storm, the first of the 'official' winter season. I'm not counting the storm we had earlier in the year, because that was just uncalled for. Now, though, we have enough to ensure a "white Christmas"... probably. We got almost a foot of snow last week and let me tell you, it was heavy and not at all fun to shovel. This "storm" was only an inch or two and came a few days before the big one... but the snow was very wet and stayed on the trees for days, so pretty!

Before the Snows Melt

This was taken not long before the snows finally melted completely away from our yard... about a month after it was gone from the rest of the town!

Narnia

Morning Snow

I took a few pictures out the window this morning. It was a good thing too, because now the snow is starting to fall. Not from the sky, from all the pine needles and tiny branches. Rather like it's snowing again, but just where trees are.

Notice the basketball hoop at the bottom to show scale:

Hopefully it will all fall off today and then melt before sundown. :)

I guess I will miss snow a tiny bit... by the time next Christmas rolls around.

Snow Day

Yesterday we had about 8 inches of snow. I would like to point out that on the news, our town was listed as the highest snowfall in the entire area by an inch... fantastic.

Not so much. The snow was heavy and wet and we had to shovel it out of the driveway. I did this right before physical therapy, which my therapist found pretty funny (and dumb).

I didn't even get another snow day at school! That was pretty lame, but Lowell didn't get nearly as much snow as we did. Plus, I did get last Monday off and "Spring Break" is next week... but still, I was hoping. :)

Last night was gorgeous though... it was a full moon, and everything - I mean everything - here was coated in thick snow... every branch of every tree and sapling. I almost went out to take pictures but my warm PJs and snuggly Bobosaur kept me safe inside. Driving down the backroads yesterday afternoon was like driving through Narnia right after you leave the wardrobe. Very pretty, but honestly why isn't it summer yet?
