Summer Running

I love this color picture so much, I made a new category of photos on the upper right side called 'Favorite Images', so I can bundle all my favorite solo images for everyone to see easily.  This was taken September 2nd but the weather was still so summery and warm.  The yard at the new house is perfect for summer days and running outside, Matt and Arin were kicking around a bouncy ball and splattering a giant mushroom. You can see the sky is starting to turn red and orange from the sunset and we're just about to go inside for a tasty dinner that Matt just finished cooking on the grill.  It all makes for just such a timeless moment that I will cherish.

Last Day of Summer's Green

It's been so beautiful and cool for the past three days... you can certainly feel autumn coming. These pictures are from yesterday, the last day of August (and therefore, according to me, the last day of Summer). I'm so pleased that we could wear long sleeves. I'm so excited for Fall, it's the start of my favorite stretch of the year!








I've already posted these up on facebook, mostly because I needed a new profile picture as it's been half a year since the last one! Time flies, I can't believe summer is over. At least we have a lot of fun memories (and a lot of NOT fun ones) to look back on... and we certainly did a lot this season.




Here's to the end of Summer and beginning of Autumn!

Dandelion Chomper

This year, we have about 6 million dandelions gracing our backyard. Arin loves them when they turn to puffers, he picks little bouquets of them and waves them in the wind so the little seeds fly and spread to even more of our lawn.



The first time he encountered them though... he didn't quite get the right idea at first. :)

Wishing for Warm

How many months before we can enjoy balmy summer sunsets again?



I'd settle for a few more days of 50 degree highs. :/
